Mission Statement

Digital media is becoming the main mean of communication and participation in society. Because its benefits are not yet available to everyone, the people who facilitate digital competences are becoming increasingly important in today´s time and need our support to offer the best possible help.

The project

The project Trans e-facilitator offers a curriculum for facilitators of digital competences (“e-facilitators”), based on a set of learning modules which are adapted to specific national needs. These needs have been identified in national surveys analysing e-facilitators’ tasks and competence gaps. Within the project trainers will be trained in the locally important modules and will then pass on their knowledge to other e-facilitators. The project aims at a nationally standardized and recognized training for e-facilitators.

Trans e-facilitator at Telecentre-Europe Conference 2014

At this year´s Telecentre-Europe Conference the project Trans e-facilitator takes over a big part of the agenda. From 24th till 26th of September 2014 more than 100 participants and speakers from European institutions, foundations and associations, partner organisations, NGOs, universities, and ICT industry come in Zagreb, Croatia together to discuss about challenges regarding digital inclusion, e-facilitators as multipliers of digital skills and media literacy. On the second day the Trans e-facilitator consortium will present their project by showing the 2-step trainer approach, the results of the pilot testing and the final modular curriculum.

Learn more about the conference, its speakers and the agenda on the Telecentre-Europe Conference website.

Modular training Curriculum for e-facilitators

The modular training curriculum was created to qualify promoters of media competences. It consists of eleven modules of four categories: how to address certain target groups, promote technical skills, work in a telecentre and teach a certain subject.

The curriculum is free available in English language.
